Event Time and Date
1 Day until this Event
In conjunction with The NAMES Project Foundation, GlobeMed, PMSA, and the American Red Cross brings a part of The AIDS Memorial Quilt to UChicago. A memorial, a tool for education and a work of art, the Quilt is a unique and uplifting response to the tragic loss of human life. It is the world’s largest piece of community folk art, and it seeks to preserve the powerful images and stories of the AIDS pandemic while expanding our AIDS awareness and HIV prevention education efforts. Come join us for refreshments in the McCormick Lounge from 6-9PM on May 25th and view sections of this extraordinary artifact as we commemorate and create a dialogue about AIDS and HIV in the South Side.
